The Morean  Arts Center Board of Trustees recently announced that the Chihuly  Collection will  be relocating from 400 Beach Drive in St. Petersburg, to a new property on the 700 block of Central Avenue. The new location will include an exhibition space and approximately 4,000 square feet of outdoor space. Florida Orches tra Guild Holiday Homes Tour

Looking for holiday decorating ideas? The Florida Orchestra Guild, St. Petersburg, has just the ticket. The Guild will host its fourth annual Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 5, 2015, to benefit The Florida Orchestra. The Tour, from 10 am to 4 pm, will feature five homes, each creatively decorated, from glamorous and elegant to fun loving and glitzy.

 Visitors on Saturday can explore the decorated interiors and outdoor areas of the homes and enjoy the water views offered by the Northeast St. Petersburg neighborhood that includes Snell Isle and Brightwaters Boulevard. The Guild plans a holiday boutique at one of the Tour homes at which gift items and decorations will be available.

Advance donations for Tour tickets are $20 per person, payable by check to The Florida Orchestra Guild, St. Petersburg, and sent to Holiday Tour of Homes, c/o C.E. Miller, 1440 52nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33703. Individual tickets the day of the event, available at all Tour homes, will be $25, payable only by cash or check. That day, signs with arrows pointing toward Tour homes and balloons marking the homes themselves will help guide visitors.

The Guild will also sell tickets on Tuesdays & Thursdays, November 17 & 19 and December 1 & 3, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the St. Petersburg College downtown center, 163 3rd Street North, St. Petersburg. The Florida Orchestra Box Office is just inside the entrance on3rd Street. On those four days, both cash and credit cards may be used to buy Tour tickets.

Event co-chairs Emily Gillespie & Ginger Hanner  have also planned a Holiday Cocktail Reception for Friday, December 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Brightwaters home of Drs. Larry R. and Sarah E. Williams. The menu will feature fine wines and hors d'oeuvres prepared by Parkshore  Grill's award-winning chef Tyson Grant. A $75 individual donation for the Reception includes a ticket to the Saturday Tour of Homes.

Sponsorships for the Holiday Tour of Homes are available at the Platinum ($1,000), Gold ($500), & Silver ($250) levels. All include ticketing for both the Holiday Cocktail Reception and Tour of Homes.  Sponsorships at the Platinum & Gold levels come with program ads; Silver level includes a special listing in the printed tour program. Individual patron tickets at $150 are available and include a listing in the printed Tour program. Sponsorship checks, payable to The Florida Orchestra Guild, St. Petersburg, may be mailed to P. KITE FESTIVAL  TO  HONOR VETERANS November 7 & 8 - 10 am – 5 pm both days The "Veterans Day Fall Fly on TI" is slated for November 7th & 8th on Treasure Island Beach behind the Thunderbird Beach Resort. The theme for the weekend will be to honor America's veterans, particularly featuring red, white and blue kites, banners, flags and more. This free, family-oriented event will feature general kite flying, kite games, stunt kite lessons & demos as well as a chance to honor Veterans by flying a kite. Festival is sponsored by Windworks  (13009 Village Blvd., Madeira Beach, FL 33708). The City of Treasure Island and Beachlife  Newspaper.  The Thunderbird Beach Resort supports the event by being the host Hotel. Parking is available in the following locations: Public lot across the street from the Waffle House on Gulf Blvd, and at 104th Ave. Gulf Blvd. American Legion Post # 158 of Treasure Island will be on hand to help with the activities. After dark on Saturday, kite flyers are urged to add lights to their kites for a night fly. Windworks  will be on hand to sell kites, line and other wind toys for all your kiting needs. Treasure Islettes  – Saturday, December 5, 2015 – Holly Fest fundraiser sponsored by the Treasure Islettes , the women's club of Treasure Island. THANKSGIVING BENEFIT CONCERT

Congregation of Pass-A-Grille Beach Community Church invites the community to join them on Wednesday, November 18th, at 7:00 pm at the church, 107 16th Ave. St. Pete Beach for a Thanksgiving Concert entitled "Expressions of Gratitude".

The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet, and Vox  Nova, a chamber choir from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, will join with the church choir for an evening of inspirational Thanksgiving music. The brass quintet is comprised of titled members of The Florida Orchestra. Vox  Nova will be conducted by Derek Edward Weston and the Pass-A-Grille choir by organist Dale Williams .
